Entertainment Desk. Indore (Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai). The TV serial ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ started in 2015 and remains popular till date. The characters of serials like ‘Anguri Bhabhi’, ‘Gori Mem’, ‘Happu Singh’, ‘Vibhuti Narayan Mishra’, ‘Manohar Tiwari’ are still in the minds of the audience.
All episodes of this serial can be watched on OTT platform Zee5. Its first serial was released on 2 March 2015. It was then telecast on &TV and the show achieved new heights of popularity.
Story of two neighboring families of Modern Colony, Kanpur
The story of ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai’ has been written by Manoj Santoshi, while the direction has been done by Shashank Bali. The serial shows the stories of two families of Modern Colony of Kanpur. One family is that of Vibhuti Narayan Mishra and the other is that of Manmohan Tiwari. Both of them are infatuated with each other’s wife and do comedy-filled acts to woo her. Manmohan Tiwari has a business of Kachhe Baniyan i.e. undergarments. His wife Angoori is a rustic type of woman. At the same time, Vibhuti Narayan was once an insurance agent, but is now unemployed. Vibhuti Narayan is always seen doing household chores, because the responsibility of earning money is on the shoulders of his modern and educated wife Anita Mishra (Gori Mem). Anita runs grooming classes. Most of the scenes in the serial are from both their homes. Also the characters often visit the nearby tea shop, ‘Gupta Tea Centre’, where they discuss their matters. Vibhuti Narayan and Manmohan Singh always conspire to bring each other down.

Corona lockdown had an impact on the shooting
When the whole world came to a standstill due to Corona lockdown, the shooting of Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai also had to be stopped. Shooting started again in June 2021. Earlier the shooting was taking place in Gujarat, but later the scenes were shot in Mumbai.
